Tonight will likely be a tough game for the Bucks tonight. They have lost 8 of 10 at Chicago and the Bulls are probably a little ornery after a losses to the Celtics and Heat. A loss is okay, what I hope to see is Brandon Jennings hold up against Derrick Rose.
A question that will always surround Jennings is how will he hold up against physical guards. What better guage than going up against the youngest, most physical young point guard in the league. I will not take too much out of tonight’s game for the Bucks as a team other than I hope Bogut shows improvement and Meeks shows promise.
Joe Alexander’s third year option was not picked up. Alexander is the highest draft pick to ever not get the third year option on a rookie contract. Part of me is happy that the Bucks were willing to admit a mistake and be able to move on from that. At the same time, everything we heard from the Bucks when Alexander was drafted was that he would be a several year project. This action by the team is essentially giving up on Alexander after one year. I am not sure how Alexander will function on the team when he does come back from his current injury so this non-move will in all likely-hood end his stint with the Bucks.
For Alexander’s future and Bucks well-being, I hope he ends up being a great overseas player. I really hope he doesn’t become a very strong NBA starter. I hope he makes all the money he can for 15 years in Europe, but the Bucks cannot afford to just throw away number 8 overall picks when the cupboard looks bear.
Nightly NBA Picks
My picks are comical at this point at 4-9. I would really like to know if there are wise-guys in Vegas that make money on betting regular season NBA games. The biggest issue is that to really make money betting you need to hit parlays to get big wins and since the NBA is such a crap-shoot on a nightly basis I cannot imagine having regular success.
