What I Herd This Morning

I do not know why I even get upset or bothered anymore with Sports talk radio.  It is just crap, especially ESPN sports-talk radio.  Mike and Mike are unbearable, and I have already mentioned they make my ears bleed.  Colin Coward’s The Herd use to be OK, but ever since he has been on SportsNation, the radio show has suffered.  If he does not have as much time to prepare or dedicate to the show, than I wish he would give it up and allow Scott van Pelt to move up into that slot.  The Herd is just not as good as it use to be.

Today’s show got me riled up because I listened in for the first two hours and did not hear one word revolving around the NFL.  This weekend is filled with teams that will be eliminated from the playoff race, we still have an undefeated team, and in his last show before this weekend’s games there was no mention of the NFL in the first two hours.

Maybe the last two hours were filled with NFL talk, but I had given up on the show by that point.

The first two hours were filled with Colin’s opinion on TMZ-Sports being a new entity off of TMZ.  Colin explained why he thought this would be a great idea, for 30 MINUTES!  This is the problem with his show at this point, it use to be sports with an alternative take.  The show was still based on sports.  Now I feel this show is based on an alternative take with sports mixed in.  The same could be said for ESPN as a whole, but when one of your prime radio shows spends more time in the first two hours talking about Women’s college basketball and TMZ-Sports Online, enough is enough.

As Colin always says… DO BETTER!!!
