Bucks Sign Drew Gooden

Just heard this on the Dan Patrick Show, the Bucks have signed PF Drew Gooden at 5 years, 32 million.  The DP show is usually very accurate, not rushing to report anything so I trust the validity.

First off, I am a little shocked the Bucks got involved this early.  Second, I think it shows how shrewd John Hammonds is as a General Manager.  When the dominos start falling players are going to go to where the stars are, Hammonds went after a guy he wanted at a price he wanted.  Third, I like the move, Gooden is a physical power forward who should help ease in rookie Larry Sanders.  More importantly, the Gooden signing does not force Sanders into action before he is ready.

Jerel McNeal, Marquette stand-out is playing for the Bobcats in the Orlando summer league and will be playing for the Bulls in the Las Vegas summer league. I hope The Bucks will be watching him… they would make a good couple, especially for the fans!!!!

There was a comment in another article hoping for the same thing, the Bucks getting Jerel McNeal.

I will say the same thing I said there, I have always liked McNeal. I thought he improved the most at Marquette between he, James and Mathews. I think his D is definitely good enough for him to stick in the league. I would not mind at all if the Bucks were to bring him in for their bench.
