In college basketball regular season betting there is money to be won, but I semi-rarely just go up against the spread unless I like the underdog. College basketball has some additional variables that you do not have to deal with in college football. In college football I do not believe any team can beat another within a conference. But in basketball, with the three point shot and the middle of the week road game, I do believe anything can happen. Because of this I prefer parlaying favorites on the money line, betting underdogs against the spread or betting the money line on the favorite outright.
Texas @ Oklahoma State – I am a little nervous about this game since I do think Texas will stumble but I am thinking it will be this weekend against Missouri. Texas has great defense and defense travels. I think the upset would be ripe tonight but Oklahoma State is not good enough and I still have the memory of Texas controlling Kansas from Saturday in my head. I am going with Texas on the -200 money line.
Parlay Villanona and Louisville Money Lines - Villanova travels to Providence and Louisville hosts West Virginia. I love Villanova, especially after watching them dismantle Syracuse on Saturday. I do not fully trust Louisville but like taking home favorites, especially when they are better, mid-week.
San Diego State +5.5 @ BYU – I did a combo bet on this one. I am taking the points with San Diego State, but also bet the money line on BYU. Jimmer Fredette has one of his few meaningful regular season games tonight against San Diego State, with both teams being ranked in the top 10 it should be a great game but I do not see BYU losing this game at home. Although I do think it will be close.
