In an exercise that will probably prove to be as futile as a three-legged pair of pants, the NBA released its preseason schedule for the 2011-12 season.
For the Bucks, the seven-game slate of October games is:
10/11 Milwaukee at Cleveland
10/13 Milwaukee at Memphis
10/15 Washington at Milwaukee
10/18 Milwaukee at Toronto
10/21 Detroit at Milwaukee
(Resch Center, Green Bay)
10/22 Milwaukee at Minnesota
(Fargodome, Fargo, ND)
10/27 Milwaukee at Chicago
Maybe it’s a good thing that the Bucks won’t have to deal with the inherent problem of getting from Green Bay to Fargo for the second night of a back-to-back. Yikes.

Update (4:06 PM CT): The Bucks released a preseason schedule post on their site that makes one very important point about the preseason schedule:
The Bucks will make their lone Bradley Center appearance of the preseason on Saturday, October 15, when they host the Washington Wizards in the 35th Annual MACC Fund Game. This annual event is the cornerstone of the Bucks 34-year commitment to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. Since the inaugural event in 1977, the annual MACC Fund Game has raised more than $1 million dollars for children’s cancer research at the Midwest Children’s Cancer Center in Milwaukee.
Here is one more example reminding us that the real losers in the lockout are neither the players not the owners. It’s everyone else with a vested interest in the NBA.
