NBA.com: The Bucks finalized the Keyon Dooling trade with the Celtics yesterday, and it was the Celtics who received the second-round pick, albeit a protected one. In return, the Bucks get to shed salary and open space, plus the rights to Spanish forward/center Albert Miralles. Miralles is currently averaging 10.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game with Angelico Biella of Lega Basket A (Italy’s top professional league).
Miralles was originally drafted by the Raptors in the 2004 Draft and has never played in the NBA. It remains to be seen if he will ever show interest in playing in the US, or if this was just a clever way for the Celtics to make the trade executable without giving the Bucks anything other than the salary relief.
Below is a video of Miralles in action this season. (WARNING: Loud, unlistenable soundtrack)
Twitter: The Bucks will hold their annual scrimmage Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the Bradley Center. It will be free and open to the public. The compressed preseason forced the Bucks into holding it on a weekday.
LA Times: It was always a long shot, but small forward Caron Butler won’t be signing with the Bucks after agreeing to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers worth $24 million over 3 years.
Twitter: Gery Woelfel tweets that the other suitors for Luc Mbah a Moute include Denver, New Orleans, Boston, and Oklahoma City.
ESPN: ESPN’s 5-on-5 series turns its eyes toward the Bucks, while Jeremy Schmidt demonstrates that he’s the one who follows the Bucks on a regular basis.
