After a seemingly interminable NBA lockout, the Bucks finally have a game to play. Granted, it’s only the preseason, and it’s against the Wolves, but hey, it’s Rubio’s first game!
It sounds like Stephen Jackson did not make the trip to Minnesota. According to his Twitter feed,
Of course, the fact that Stephen is enjoying the city is wonderful. No word on whether his Twitter avatar is the evidence from that trip to Perkins or not. Gery Woefel reported earlier this week that Jackson is unhappy with his contract status, and now the combination of a bad left hamstring and a sore back have him missing preseason games. It’s not a great start for the Captain Jack era in Milwaukee.
As for tonight’s game, Charles F. Gardner says that Skiles will start a Jennings/Dunleavy/Delfino/Gooden/Bogut quintet, which makes sense given Jackson’s absence.
In a bit of good news for the Bucks, Mbah a Moute could play some tonight, as his visa issues were resolved Friday. Given the dehydration issues of Sanders and Harris, they’ll need all the big bodies they can drum up to get through the preseason.
