Milwaukee Bucks Field Summer League Team

Update (2:30 CT): The Bucks announced their full squad, which will also include Rashad Bishop, Jarrid Famous, Olu Famutimi, Ray George, Stefhon Hannah, and Jamarr Sanders.

The 2012 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas starts next week and the Bucks are one of the 24 squads participating. The summer league gives NBA teams a chance to get their young players and the floor and get a first impression on signed draftees and undrafted free agents.

The Bucks have already targeted a few free agents to represent the team in Las Vegas. According to the Bucks, Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld.com, and Scott Schroeder of RidiculousUpside.com:

So here’s a look at the Bucks’ roster:

Point Guard-

Cameron Wells, free agent, played for Zwolle in Holland last season (averaged 14.0 points and 3.6 assists a game), 6’1″, 195 pounds, 23 years old.

Aaron Miles played for Krasnie Krilya in a second-tier Russian league. He was the league leader in assist with 6.8 per game.

Shooting Guard-

Doron Lamb, Bucks’ 2012 second round pick

Andy Rautins average 7.3 points per game, including 35% accuracy on his three-point shots, while playing for CB Lucentum Alicante in the top Spanish League.

Small Forward-

Tobias Harris, Bucks’ 2011 first round selection

Tarence Kinsey averaged 8.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in overall play for the Turkish team Anadolu Efes — the squad with whom Ersan played during the lockout.

Power Forward-

John Henson, Bucks’ 2012 first round selection

Vernon Goodridge, free agent, played for Springfield Armor last year (averaged 9.0 points and 5.4 rebounds a game), 6’9″, 220 pounds, 28 years old

Larry Sanders, Bucks’ 2010 first round selection

Xavier Gibson, undrafted free agent, 7’0″, 267 pounds, 23 years old, Florida State

Note: this most certainly is not the final roster, just what we know as of today. It seems as if the barrage of power forwards continues, even in the summer league. I’m sure we’ll be seeing both Henson and Sanders getting minutes at the center position.
