According to a tweet from his management team, Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t play with the Bucks this summer.

Of all the players in the draft, the 18-year-old Antetokounmpo needs perhaps the most NBA-based game experience, but it sounds as if the Bucks and First Class Management agreed upon this decision with little acrimony.  Either way, he needs to be playing — and he’ll be playing.  Fortunately, FIBA rule changes have made the international game more like the NBA game in recent years.  Unfortunately, it just won’t be against a level of competition as good as the one he would see in Las Vegas.
