Ersan Ilyasova blatantly fouls Boston’s Brandon Bass during a game last season .
Amid speculation that Ersan Ilyasova could miss his second straight game, Larry Drew announced the forward would be available Tuesday in Boston. However, if Ilyasova sees the floor, it will be off the bench.
After missing Saturday’s contest against these same Celtics, Ilyasova practiced Monday before the team departed for Boston and participated in shootaround Tuesday morning. Banged up all season, Ilyasova is currently dealing with hamstring, ankle and thumb injuries.
With Ilyasova on the bench, Drew will roll out the same starting lineup that defeated the Celtics (and snapped an 11-game losing streak) on Saturday.
That means John Henson, Ekpe Udoh and Khris Middleotn will start in the frontcourt, joined by O.J. Mayo at shooting guard and Brandon Knight at the point. Knight and Mayo combined for 42 points (16-28 FG), 11 assists, 12 rebounds and two steals last time out, and the pair will look to continue to build chemistry, as they’ve only played a handful of games together due to injury.
