We are a couple hours away from tip off as the Bucks (7-33) are hosting the Detroit Pistons (17-24). The bucks are riding yet another losing streak but hopefully can snap what is now a 9 game skid. Not only are the Bucks losing but they are being beaten handily by an average of over 15 points per game. Milwaukee was blown out 110-82 on Sunday night in San Antonio by the reigning Western Conference Champion Spurs. Detroit is coming off a home loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers but have to be confident they can bounce back tonight in Milwaukee.
Tonight’s match up has a few interesting story lines to watch for:
- The Pistons’ Brandon Jennings returns his former stomping grounds hoping to get his game back on track. January has not been kind to the former Buck as he is shooting a paltry 26.1% from the floor. Brandon can expect a lukewarm reception from the BMO Harris Bradley center crowd as his tenure in Milwaukee was not exactly smooth sailing.
- Detroit’s loaded front court of Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond will give the Bucks problems inside on both the offensive and defensive end. Milwaukee has struggled keeping up with basically every team’s front court so tonight will present an extra challenge for the deer.
- Brandon Knight has been hot of late but will he keep it going tonight? The answer is mostly likely, as Brandon Jennings isn’t exactly known for his defensive prowess. Though Knight has been scoring efficiently the Bucks must find another scoring option if they want to finally get that elusive win number 8.
Expert Prediction: 97-84 Detroit wins controlling the paint as the Bucks once again struggle putting points on the board.
