Bottom Feeder Face Off

The Milwaukee Bucks (8-37) are escaping the cold of Milwaukee as the travel to face the Orlando Magic (12-35) tonight. Fresh off a Wednesday night home loss (126-117) at the hands of the Phoenix Suns the Bucks have now lost four straight. It was a rare offensive outburst for Milwaukee as it was just the eleventh time they topped the 100 point mark this season. Orlando is also coming off a loss as they fell to the Raptors (98-83) to Toronto. This is a match up of the Eastern Conference bottom feeders struggling to compete with the rest of the league.

Here are a few things to watch for between these Lottery bound teams:

·         Milwaukee actually played well on offense scoring 117 points against Phoenix. Can they keep this rhythm going against a less than stellar Orlando defense that gives up just over 102 points per game? If so it would be a step in the right direction for the Bucks though I wouldn’t hold your breath. The Bucks remain last in the league in scoring, putting up just 91.7 a game.

·         Victor Oladipo and Giannis Antetokounmpo are two of the most promising rookies from this year’s class. They have very different playing styles but both are capable of providing some incredible highlights at any point during the game.

·         Does either team really want to win this game? Both of these teams are gunning for the top pick in this year’s loaded draft class. Maybe the Bucks are better off not gaining a game on the Magic as it could be the difference in lottery odds come May.
