A nightmare season for the Bucks and Larry Sanders somehow took a turn for the worse Friday.
Larry Sanders hasn’t played since February 8, but that did not stop him from making headlines Friday.
The NBA announced Sanders has been suspended five games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Since he’s out for the season with a fracture to his orbital bone, Sanders will serve the suspension over the first five games of the 2014-15 campaign.

The big man’s four-year, $44 million extension, which he signed last summer, kicks in at the beginning of next season. He was limited to just 23 games this season, due in large part to a hand injury suffered during a bar fight in early November.
