The latest Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors point to Greg Monroe still being on the market, despite his importance to the Bucks this season.

The sun rises, the Earth spins, and Greg Monroe is on the trade block. The latest Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors, coming from two of the most reliable NBA reporters out there, point to the Bucks still trying to deal the Moose somewhere as the NBA trade deadline approaches.

This has been a topic of discussion going back to last season, when Milwaukee was not close to delivering on playoff expectations and Monroe took a lot of heat for supposedly being a major reason the Bucks were not living up to the hype.

A lot changes in one season. Monroe cut some weight, worked on his hand speed and turned himself into a capable defender and a vital bench cog for the Bucks. The Moose is slowly going from a target of spite to a fan favorite, but that apparently hasn’t stopped Milwaukee from trying to deal him.

In a video segment for The Vertical, Adrian Wojnarowski told Chris Mannix that Greg Monroe is one of several centers still being shopped by their team, although the market is limited.

Zach Lowe agreed in his latest NBA trade deadline piece, writing that the only players the Bucks aren’t taking offers on are Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker, Khris Middleton and Thon Maker, although Lowe also writes that any market for Monroe has all but dried up.

It doesn’t sound like Woj or Lowe think a Monroe deal is imminent, but if the Moose is still on the block then a deal is at least possible. Let’s go through some options the Bucks have with their big free agency acquisition of 2015 and see what the choices are for Milwaukee.
