Despite hanging with them for the majority of the game, the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. With that, we break down what stood out the most in the game.

Hitting the road on the second night of a back-to-back, the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 102-95 on Monday night.

Already without Khris Middleton, the Bucks obviously faced a tough challenge entering the game and taking on the defending champion Cavaliers. That only got more challenging with another injury striking the Bucks before the end of the night.

After getting off to a slow start, the Bucks rebounded and kept pace with the Cavs as the first quarter went on.  That stayed the same in the second, despite the loss of Michael Beasley midway through the quarter for the Bucks, and they only trailed by two heading into halftime.

The start of the second half looked promising at first, with the Bucks getting off to a quick run thanks to a string of threes made by the team’s rookies, Thon Maker and Malcolm Brogdon. The Cavaliers wouldn’t stay down for long, though, as they quickly took back control of the lead.

Slowly but surely, the Cavs’ firepower became too much for the Bucks to handle and trying to keep within distance was in itself a challenge, especially without being able to create easy opportunities for scores.

Not long after, it was pretty clear any comeback for the Bucks would end up being insurmountable. They proved all throughout the game that they could keep up with the Cavs, but they lacked a certain punch to get them over the edge to make any chance of swinging the game in their favor a reality.

Without further ado, let’s take a deeper look at who and what stood out the most last night for the Bucks.
