The Milwaukee Bucks bounced back from an awful performance against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, to get the best of the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.

The Milwaukee Bucks bounced back from one of their worst first half performances of the season on Wednesday, with one of their very best on Friday night.

Having trailed the Denver Nuggets 63-37 at the half in their previous game, the Bucks came out firing early on against the heavily favored Los Angeles Clippers, and worked their way to a 66-47 lead through two quarters.

The key to that success was greatly improved shooting in terms of volume and relative efficiency, and most importantly as the lead stretched out, an intense defensive effort that forced the Clippers into turning it over.

By the time all was said and done on the night, the Bucks had forced the Clippers into their season-high of 23 turnovers, while Milwaukee only coughed possession up 10 times of their own.

From the perspective of individual performances, Greg Monroe and Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 24 points each, while Khris Middleton continued to look close to his best as he added nine assists to his 19 points.

The frustration for the Bucks will come from the fact that they can’t replicate performances such as this one with greater regularity, but at the very least it doesn’t hurt them to have a reminder of what they’re capable of every once in a while.

Let’s dive deeper into some of the game’s key takeaways.
