The Milwaukee Bucks started their road trip with a winning streak to defend, but fell short against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. What can they take from their performance?
It seemed like an impossibility only a few short weeks ago, but the Milwaukee Bucks arrived in Memphis not only defending a six-game win streak, but with a chance to reach a notable record landmark.
The Bucks had moved into the eighth spot with a win over the Timberwolves on Saturday, but a win over the struggling Grizzlies would have further fueled their confidence and seen them move back to a .500 record.
As has been the case for the Bucks in many of their games of late, they had to watch on as an opponent got off to a quick start. Once again, though, they did just enough to hang on to Memphis’ coat tails and make it a game.

Unfortunately it wasn’t to be on the night, and even having pulled the deficit back to within 10 on a couple of occasions late in the third quarter, and again in the fourth, Milwaukee could never really get over the edge.
With five more games on the road until they next return home, and still sitting in the eight spot, what should the Bucks be taking away from this game?
Let’s take a closer look.
