The Milwaukee Bucks prevailed in Portland with an important win, and taught everyone a lot about themselves in the process.

We’ve reached what can only be termed as gut check time for the Milwaukee Bucks’ season.

Thankfully, I’m happy to report that Tuesday’s game suggests they’re not lacking in courage or desire either.

Coming to the end of their longest road trip of the season, there’s a sense of visible fatigue when you watch the Bucks play. That made a game against a red-hot Portland Trail Blazers team seem like a significant challenge to overcome, but it wasn’t one they were going to cower from.

That boils down to what appears to be a newfound maturity in the Bucks of late. There’s less panic, and importantly a much greater will to win.

This team may be young, but they understand the stakes of each game they’re playing at the moment.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the key takeaways from this win in the Moda Center.
