The Milwaukee Bucks could look at several ball-handlers this summer in NBA free agency. Could Tyreke Evans be a good fit?

The Milwaukee Bucks could use some more capable guards who can initiate offense. As previously covered here at Behind the Buck Pass, neither Matthew Dellavedova nor Malcolm Brogdon were dangerous scorers last season, and they were unable to make defenses respect their ability to shoot off the dribble.

For the Bucks offense to improve, Milwaukee needs to add guards who can scare defenses and make life easier for Giannis Antetokounmpo down low. Could Tyreke Evans be that kind of player in Milwaukee?

More from Bucks News

Evans just finished his eighth NBA season, and he’s an unrestricted free agent this summer. After spending much of the season with the New Orleans Pelicans, Evans got sent back to the Sacramento Kings, the team that drafted him, as part of the DeMarcus Cousins trade.

When he entered the league in Sacramento, Evans looked like he might blossom into a star. He scored 20.1 points per game as a rookie, a remarkable and rare feat for any player. Unfortunately for Evans, that was the last season he managed to scored 20 per game, and he’s no longer looked at as remarkable in NBA circles.

Could Tyreke Evans be a good signing for the Bucks, even if he’s not going to get back to that 20 point per game territory? To find out, we’ll look at his strengths, weaknesses, potential salary and finally his fit in Milwaukee.
