Brandon made a point to note that Kobe playing in the Drew League itself was not the issue; rather, he was saying that Kobe should refrain from jumping into the head-to-head LA/DC fray, because Kobe was born outside of LA.

]]> Brandon Jennings led a second-half comeback, but his missed jumper on the final play left the Drew League All-Stars just short as they lost to the Goodman League, 135-134.  The final possession of the “Capital Punishment” exhibition consisted of Jennings dribbling at the top of the key. After Jennings’ misfire, teammate James Harden squeezed off one last shot at the buzzer, but it was blocked by Kevin Durant.  Jennings scored 34 points for the game and Harden got 29. Local hero Durant led all scorers with 44. (more…)
