The Bucks continued their 2013 slide down the Eastern Conference standings with a disheartening 95-80 loss in Indiana.

The Pacers crushed the Bucks on the glass, outrebounding Milwaukee by a 59-39 margin. Through three quarters of the game, Indiana muscled down 16 offensive rebounds while the Bucks eked out just 15 defensive rebounds.

Roy Hibbert had 11 offensive rebounds all by himself, to go along with 20 points and five blocks.

For the second straight game, Ekpe Udoh started for the Bucks. Per the usual Ekpe, he defended well. But he had just four rebounds in 28 minutes and generally looked lost on offense. When he catches the ball at the top of the key, he hesitates until the defense gets there, looking quite unsure in the process.

Monta Ellis made some tough shots early en route to 16 first-half points. In particular, a loose ball scrum with Lance Stephenson raised Ellis’ ire and he started firing off shots (and making them) with impunity.

But those looks stopped falling in the second half when Ellis netted just one field goal on seven attempts.

A few tweets:

There weren’t any. Everyone was watching the Packers game.

Brandon Jennings’ shot chart:

(via ESPN.com)

Don’t get too excited about that corner three-point attempt. It wasn’t a catch-and-shoot gem. It was a head-juke, sidestep, leaning-out-of-bounds chuck that barely grazed the rim.

Jennings started the fourth quarter having scored just six points on 2-for-10 shooting. There was a pair of consecutive possessions that featured him bringing up the ball and shooting before making a single pass. Draw your own conclusions, which may or may not be based upon points-per-game averages.

John Henson played meaningful minutes, and Tobias Harris entered as the game was floating out of reach in the fourth. Henson finished with 13 rebounds in 26 minutes. His rebounding is way ahead of his defense at this point. He still misses defensive assignments, and Tyler Hansbrough was essentially able to draw fouls on him at will by taking the ball straight at him in the paint.

A few tweets (take two):

Re-tweet if you care more about Bucks game than Packers game.

For the record, that one received ten re-tweets.

The Bucks are now at .500. They are not leading their division. The Pacers are.

Bucks in the bonus before the halfway point of the first. So, of course, LRMAM tries a 21-foot jumper. — K L Chouinard (@AnaheimAmigos) January 6, 2013

This was my own tweet, and it hurt just as much reading it the second time around. Luc did a good job drawing fouls to create that bonus and then went away from it.

This is totally not true, but the Bucks are quite adept at maintaining that illusion.
