Milwaukee Bucks Grades and Reactions From 109-80 Loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers
Reactions: The Bad
- The Bucks allowed 70 percent three-point shooting in the first quarter before surrendering a season-high 18 made threes for the game. J.R. Smith, who hit all seven of his threes in the first half, was left wide open over and over and over. That’s not an exaggeration–he was alone on the wing while taking most of his threes. Jason Kidd and company are going to have to go back to the drawing board this summer to scheme up a different three-point strategy.
- John Henson played seven minutes. In those minutes he was completely wrecked by Kevin Love who hit a pair of three-pointers (one a step-back) while making a mockery of whatever defense Henson was cooking up. If you’re a regular around here you know that I’m, uhh, less than thrilled with what we’ve gotten from Henson lately. With spring coming around I would trade him for a nice, working, lawn mower. Probably a Toro, which is fitting–because that’s what Henson was yelling as Cavs players went right through his defense Tuesday night.
- Three cheers for defense!
