Milwaukee Bucks Grades and Reactions From 109-80 Loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers
Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters
Rashad Vaughn
, F
10 Points | 4-17 FG | 0-0 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 3 STL | 0 BLK |
I love it when one of the commentators writes my blurb for me. Tuesday it was Gus Johnson with a late game call on a Vaughn three-point attempt: “Vaughn continues to shoot…and continues to miss.” Yep, that pretty much sums it us, Gus. Vaughn shot 2-10 from three.
Johnny O’Bryant, A-
12 Points| 6-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 7 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |
I’m not saying that he’s ever going to be a consistent rotation guy. Hell, I’m not even sure he ever scores 12 again. But I do know that he’s making a compelling case for a roster spot next season. You always need players that bring full energy regardless of record.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, A-
22 Points | 10-18 FG | 0-0 FT | 14 REB | 8 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |
The most exciting part of Giannis’ night was the fact that he hit a pair of three pointers. We see opponents daring him to take the three point shot just about every night. LeBron gave Giannis all the cushion in the world–knowing full well that Giannis doesn’t want to take that shot. Sometimes he will. Sometimes he goes 2-4 from three.
Jabari Parker
, B-
19 Points | 7-19 FG | 5-10 FT | 2 REB | 4 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK
Do you remember how last season Khris Middleton kept coming up with big stat lines, but never even made a ripple in doing so? This year Parker is that guy. I’m consistently looking at box scores after games and feeling stunned that he scored that many points. He needs to be able to get more than two rebounds.
Greg Monroe, B
8 Points| 4-11 FG | 0-0 FT | 5 REB | 2 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |
He didn’t see very much of the court (25 minutes), but might as well have just sat the entire second half. The way Monroe has been moving lately I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kidd shut him down for the rest of the season.
