Milwaukee Bucks Grades & Reactions From 109-108 Win Over the Philadelphia 76ers
Reactions: The Good
- Khris Middleton dominated. There is simply no other way to put it. He put up a whopping 36 on 14-24 from the field and looked calm, bored, and smooth while doing it. Why bored you ask? Because at no point in the game did it seem that he was really getting after it. He was simply playing ball and having fun. It was a natural performance–one that should give Bucks fans hope for the offense heading into next season.
- Here are a couple of reasons why Middleton is so indispensable. First: three point shooting. Nothing special here, just a tough three–can anyone else in the lineup make that shot right now?
- Second is his unsung ability to get to the rim. He was able to knife through the Philly cheese steak defense and get to the basket with ease. That’s the magic of the inside-outside game that he brings to the offense.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo was this close to the coveted 5 x 5, falling just two steals short of the mark. His numbers look like a younger LeBron James, his on-court game has hints of Magic, and he has the persona to ascend to rarefied NBA air. He’s a shoo-in All-Star next season, no doubt about it. Especially when the triple-double train gets chugging again early next season. As for the present he’s still doing what he does best: Giannis-ing.
