The latest Milwaukee Bucks rumors suggest former San Antonio Spurs player and European standout Nando De Colo is a target for the team in free agency. What could he add?
It’s been a little quiet on the Milwaukee Bucks rumors front of late as there’s been little to talk about since the Dwight Howard talk flared up.
With the draft rapidly approaching and free agent season set to kick in shortly after it, it was only natural that we’d hear some more names mentioned though, and so now that has happened.
According to reports in Spain, the Milwaukee Bucks are one of four teams said to be set to enter the bidding for the services of 28-year-old French point guard Nando De Colo.
Javier Maestro of Encestando.es suggests that the Denver Nuggets, along with the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs (De Colo’s two previous NBA teams), have an interest in bringing the skilful point guard back to the US.
Interestingly, Maestro then also lists the Milwaukee Bucks as the team willing to pay the most for the point guard’s services.
In many ways that’s unsurprising as the Bucks do have a very clear need at point guard, definitely more so than those three teams who all seem to have their point guard future locked down for the foreseeable future.
Milwaukee are going to move forward with Giannis Antetokounmpo handling the ball, but they’ve made it clear that they’re still intent on playing him with a more traditional point guard who can match up defensively.
Could De Colo be a viable option? Is there enough to convince the Bucks that he can make a bigger impression in the NBA now than he did in the past?
Let’s take a closer look at De Colo’s game and background in order to find out.
