Anthony Tolliver

Now heading into his ninth season as a professional, there’s something very old-school and business like about Anthony Tolliver’s approach to basketball.

When it’s time to play, Tolliver pulls up his socks (literally), embraces whatever role he’s given and searches to do whatever will give his team the best chance of winning.

Spoken about in almost exclusively positive terms by those who’ve played with or coached him in the past, Tolliver is a high character pro whose combination of leadership and skill quickly made him a favorite of Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy.

Tolliver could play a little at small forward, but would realistically be best served as a stretch four. A career 35.7 percent shooter from deep, Tolliver started his career off poorly as a shooter but has since recorded two seasons where he averaged over 40 percent from distance. Considering his size and frame, Tolliver also possesses strong rebounding instincts.
