Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 108-100 win over Boston Celtics
All the way from down under
The other half of the team’s point guard duo, Matthew Dellavedova was a very effective contributor for the Bucks in his own right.
Playing over 26 minutes coming off the bench, Dellavedova scored 15 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field (2-of-4 from downtown), grabbed one rebound and one assist each and had a plus-minus of +8.
Delly put in a performance the only way he knows how by providing irritating defense and doing his best to initiate the team’s offense and trying to keep things running smoothly. Like Brogdon, Dellavedova did his best to check his former teammate Kyrie Irving on the defensive end, which worked with great success.
In what was by far the most notable part of his contribution on the night, Delly came through in the clutch by hitting not only a key three-pointer with 44 seconds left to play in the game, but he also hit two free throws to effectively seal the game as well.
On a night where the Bucks needed both of their point guards to put in their best effort, Delly played his part and certainly was a key figure in getting things off on the right foot for the season.
