Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: Oct. 21 vs Portland Trail Blazers

Blazer to watch – Damian Lillard
Damian Lillard hasn’t been an All-Star since the 2014-15 season, but that’s got a lot more to do with the incredible guard talent in the Western Conference than it does with Lillard’s game. Dame has gotten even better since his last All-Star season, actually.

Lillard has averaged a combined 26.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists and nearly one steal over his last two full seasons. He’s shot 43.2 percent from the field, 37.3 percent from deep and 89.4 percent from the charity stripe in that time as well.
All-Star nods or not, Lillard is a certified star in the NBA. Malcolm Brogdon will have his hands full trying to defend him, although Brogdon did do a bang-up job of frustrating Kyrie Irving in the Bucks’ first game against the Celtics.
Dame has had a much better start to his season than Kyrie though. Through two games Lillard is averaging 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and zero turnovers per game. The Bucks will have trouble with a few Blazers, including McCollum and Nurkic, but none more than Dame Lillard.
