Wisconsin Herd: Getting to know the training camp roster
Cliff Alexander
A former five-star recruit during his high school days, Cliff Alexander his led an interesting life on the NBA level after going undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft.
After spending his rookie season with the Portland Trail Blazers where he logged very minimal minutes, Alexander spent last year splitting his time with the Erie Bayhawks and the Long Island Nets. In 44 total appearances with both clubs, Alexander averaged 15.7 points on 51.7 percent shooting from the field, 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks.
Following a training camp stint with the New Orleans Pelicans before the start of the season, Alexander now comes to Oshkosh after the Herd acquired his player rights in a swap with the Nets late last week.
Still only 21 years old, Alexander clearly possesses some untapped potential, but with more time developing his skill set, he could eventually earn a fair shot in the NBA in the future.
