11. DeAndre Liggins

What he provides

Every second DeAndre Liggins is on the court, he provides the team with a burst of energy and defensive focus. Liggins will often pick up opposing players deep in the backcourt, putting pressure on ball-handlers for the entirety of the possession.

Unfortunately, all the positives Liggins provides on one end of the court do not offset his shortcomings on the other end. Liggins is essentially a one-way player who provides limited scoring ability..

Contract Situation

Liggins is currently signed to a one-year, non-guaranteed deal worth a little less than $1.6 million, which is helpful for his trade value. If a team was simply looking to save space, they could potentially make a deal for Liggins’ non-guaranteed contract, only to later waive him.

Potential Suitors

Liggins joined the Bucks via waivers during the offseason, after bouncing around multiple teams in a short period of time.

With few teams interested in Liggins prior to this season, it’s unlikely that his trade value has blossomed. However, with a non-guaranteed contract, it wouldn’t seem outlandish to see the Bucks receive a small bit of compensation for the veteran, if they found the right trade partner.
