Milwaukee Bucks: 5 free agents to target with veteran minimum this offseason

With the Milwaukee Bucks set to contend for next year’s NBA title, these five free agent targets could be had on the veteran minimum this offseason.
Following another disappointing postseason finish, all eyes turn to the offseason for the Milwaukee Bucks. Heading into a crucial 2020-21 season, the team needs to get creative with retooling their roster, particularly in free agency.
Going through roster reconstruction is far easier said than done, however, as the Bucks will have little financial flexibility to work with. Their two most useful assets could be the non-taxpayer mid-level exception worth approximately $9.3 million and the bi-annual exception, worth about $3.9 million. While these could get used to lure more notable free agents, they also have the veteran minimum at their disposal.

The minimum might not be as exciting when it comes to luring big name free agents, but it has been useful for the Bucks in recent memory.
Just last offseason, the Bucks have used the minimum to bring in the likes of Kyle Korver, Wesley Matthews, and Marvin Williams, all key contributors to the team’s rotation and success this season.
This offseason, Milwaukee’s front office will have no shortage of questions to answer or positions to fill, and there will be a few low-cost options on the market that could undoubtedly help. What kind of moves they might be planning is unknown at this point, but the Bucks will certainly be busy this offseason.
