The Milwaukee Bucks' young players, indeed, have shown plenty of promise, specifically when given ample playing time.

This suggests that a bright future is in store for the team's youth and core depth and development. Let's have a closer look at the emerging wing on the roster aged 24 and younger and rank them based on their future potential.

Keep in mind that former first-round pick and Bucks two-way point guard for the 2023-24 season, TyTy Washington, is currently a free agent and unsigned for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The Milwaukee Bucks should re-sign him to a minimum deal, as they cannot afford to lose his versatility and ball-handling abilities at the guard position. His youth in the backcourt cannot be overvalued and is an area of dire need on this team.

The other two players who the Bucks signed to two-way contracts for the 2023-24 season - Ryan Rollins and Jaylin Galloway - are not included in these rankings due to too small of a sample size, both having joined the team late last season. That said, let's dive in.

No. 5 - TyTy Washington

The 22-year-old backup point guard has a solid all-around game and the ability to handle the ball, which is something the Bucks desperately need. He also has the ability to create for others and can potentially be an efficient scorer as Damian Lillard's backup. He possesses the versatility to play both the one and two guard spots, which adds depth to the Milwaukee Bucks' backcourt options.

As part of his overall growth and development, consistency and decision-making at the NBA level are areas to watch for Washington in the future. Developing his shooting efficiency and defensive acumen will help him carve out a significant role in the rotation as a backup point guard.

No. 4 - Chris Livingston

The raw, 20-year-old small/power forward brings a combination of size, athleticism and versatility off the Bucks' bench. He can defend multiple positions, and in limited playing time as a rookie, he showed promise as a rebounder and interior scorer and provided instant energy.

Livingston will need to work on enhancing his perimeter shooting and ball-handling heading into his second season, specifically if he wants to earn more minutes off the bench. This will be a critical part of his development. If he can somehow stretch his game to the 3-point line and improve his ability to create his own shot, he just might become a valuable asset for the Milwaukee Bucks.

No. 3 - MarJon Beauchamp

After his second season with the Milwaukee Bucks, the small forward/shooting guard is only 23 years old and has various strengths. Beauchamp is known for his athleticism, defensive capabilities, and having the potential as a versatile scorer. With a solid frame and a very good wingspan, he has the tools to become a significant two-way player. When given the opportunity, he's shown flashes of offensive potential with his ability to slash to the basket as well as hit open shots.

There are areas of development that Beauchamp needs to focus on. Hopefully, with the help of Doc Rivers and the rest of the coaching staff, he will improve his shooting consistency and playmaking skills, as these are both crucial for his growth. If he can develop into a reliable perimeter shooter and secondary ball handler, he could very well become a key rotational piece for the Milwaukee Bucks moving forward.

No. 2 - Andre Jackson Jr.

Heading into his second season with the Milwaukee Bucks, the 21-year-old small forward/shooting guard has plenty of strengths in his game. He is mainly recognized for his motor, defensive prowess and playmaking abilities. His athleticism allows him to be a disruptive force on the defensive end, as well as an effective transition player. He's shown capability as a passer as well, which is value-added beyond just scoring.

Jackson does need to enhance his game on the offensive side of the ball, particularly when it comes to shooting and scoring. This will be essential as part of his growth and development. If he can somehow expand his offensive toolkit, he can offer the Bucks a dynamic option off the bench as a regular and contributing part of the rotation.

No. 1 - A.J. Green

The 24-year-old shooting guard sharpshooter is primarily known for his shooting ability. He is a reliable shooter from beyond the arc, as he shot 41 percent from deep in his second season. He also provides floor spacing, which is invaluable in today's modern NBA. His shooting mechanics and quick release make him an instant threat in catch-and-shoot situations. Look for him to continue to grow and develop and earn a spot in the starting lineup this upcoming season.

While his shooting is the clear strength of his young game, he must continue to develop his defense and add diversity to his offensive skill set, such as off-the-dribble shooting and playmaking, as this will be beneficial for his increased role on the Milwaukee Bucks moving forward.

More on the Bucks' youth

The Milwaukee Bucks have both a promising and interesting mix of young wing players with varying skill sets and developmental trajectories.

With proper development and the correct opportunities, the above players can significantly contribute to the team's future success. Their progress in the upcoming 2024-25 season will be crucial in providing depth, as well as ensuring sustained competitiveness alongside the team's established stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
