Reactions: The Good

  • After a string of recent starts, Bucks’ rookie Johnny O’Bryant found himself back on the bench having been replaced by Ersan Ilyasova in this one. It seemed to do him the world of good too, as O’Bryant played with what looked like much more freedom and energy putting up some impressive numbers, with his three offensive rebounds particularly standing out.
  • Although Giannis’ play was far from flawless, he still managed to celebrate his reported inclusion in this year’s Dunk Contest by throwing down a couple of thunderous jams. First there was one in the first half that was reminiscent of Michael Jordan in Space Jam, and then he followed that up by taking it coast to coast when his team needed a score late on. Check them both out.
  • Although Ersan Ilyasova wasn’t necessarily as aggressive or dominant as he had been against Toronto on Monday, he did manage to come up with one incredible play that should fill Bucks fans with glee. With Gordon Hayward seemingly clean through for a transition dunk, the Turk tracked him down and appeared out of nowhere to stuff Hayward’s dunk attempt at the rim.
