Utah Jazz – Thursday, January 22nd (BMO Harris Bradley Center, Milwaukee)

The Jazz and Bucks met for the first time this season on Thursday, and fans of both teams surely hope that their second meeting will produce as good of a game as this one. The Bucks had a chance to win this game but Brandon Knight missed a last second shot, resulting in a 101-99 loss for the Bucks in front of the home crowd.

The Bucks hung around until the last second in part due to having ten less turnovers than the Jazz (22 for Utah, 12 for Milwaukee), but ultimately Gordon Hayward and Enes Kanter (future Buck Enes Kanter?) were too much to overcome for Milwaukee.

The two Jazz leading scorers combined for a whopping 47 points, which was more than the top three Bucks’ scorers managed to total. Brandon Knight and Jared Dudley had 16 points apiece, but more impressive was Giannis Antetokounmpo with 13 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists. Also of note: Zaza Pachulia had a 10 point/10 rebound performance, his 7th double-double this season.

Kanter also had a (significantly more impressive) double-double, with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Rudy Gobert also had a double-double in the game (he had 14 points and ten boards), signifying the Bucks have a real problem with getting out-rebounded by pretty much everybody.

The next game for the young Bucks resulted in the team getting out-rebounded, but this time only by one board. Would the closer rebound battle in this game mean a win for the team?
