If a game starts
this
well, It’s usually a sign of great things to come. After making two free throws to kick off the game’s scoring, Giannis soared for this dunk. Not his greatest work, style-wise, but considering he used only one dribble to cover 30 feet
and
took off outside the paint, its
damn
impressive.
Giannis would go on to score ten first half points, but saved his best performance for a ten point third quarter–highlighted by this spin move on “Swaggy P”.
- Love him or hate him you have to admit Brandon Knight has made some clutch shots for the Bucks this season. He’s tied for eleventh in clutch scoring (per NBA.com) leading players like John Wall, Russell Westbrook, and Kyle Lowry (all-star point guards, all three). Down 87-82 Knight hit a contested baseline jumper, keeping the Buck’s hopes alive. He again kept hopes alive by hitting a pull-up three with :31 seconds left. In overtime Knight went into full nonsense-mode, slashing to the rim, making free throws, and hitting a ” just stop” three pointer giving the Bucks a four point lead with just over a minute left in overtime.
For how clutch Brandon Knight was down the stretch, the Bucks
would have lost
had it not been for Juice’s game tying three. My though process as the play unfurled went something like this: Why is Middleton inside the three point line? Ooh, they’re looking for Mayo! Oh no, he’s not open. NO! He’s really not open but has to shoot… BANGO! Just how Jason Kidd drew it up.
- The Bucks are on their first five game winning streak since March 16th of the 2011-12 season. If the Bucks can beat the Rockets Friday night they will claim their best record since the 46-36 2009-10 season. The Bucks are the toast of the league right now, and while they’re playing winning basketball there’s one important fact to remember: It’s happening without Jabari Parker. Look out for the future train, NBA.
