Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

O.J. Mayo, A

21 Points| 8-15 FG | 2-2 FT | 2 REB | 3 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |

Mayo forced a lot of bad shots, including an early first quarter deep two that missed badly and turned into two easy Rocket’s points. He’s shooting just .403 over his last five games and besides the clutch three against L.A., he hasn’t looked very crisp. Mayo joins Giannis and Dudley as the only Buck’s players to appear in every game this season. Hopefully the All-Star break will provide Juice some much needed rest.

Jerryd Bayless, B

13 Points | 6-10 FG | 1-4 FT | 7 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

He hit some clutch fourth quarter jumpers that kept the Bucks in the game while scoring eleven fourth quarter points. His late layup that essentially bounced off the ceiling before falling through drew some “oohs” from the noisy Houston crowd. He would earn a higher grade but missed three free throws, one of which coming on a technical shot that would have curbed a big first half Houston run.

Ersan Ilyasova, B

6 Points| 3-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Ersan Ilyasova returned from his groin injury to miss seven of his ten shots, while getting burned in transition and recording just one rebound. His performance was reminiscent of his game vs New York in London where he scored just one point and missed easy opportunities. He got back into his rhythm after that game and will hopefully do the same after tonight’s “meh” fest.

Jorge Gutierrez, A

13 Points | 5-5 FG | 3-3 FT | 2 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

It’s going to be hard to send him packing after his performance tonight. After looking cautious and sloppy in Toronto, Gutierrez supplied much needed first half stability helping the Bucks stay afloat while Houston shot the rims off the barn. He didn’t get credit for an assist, but was instrumental in facilitating ball movement. It’s easy to like a guy when he doesn’t miss a shot. Nice work from “The Chihuahua”.

Johnny O’Bryant, C+

2 Points | 1-2 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

He finally made a jumper!
