Milwaukee Bucks Grades and Reactions In 117-111 Loss To Houston Rockets
Jason Kidd, B-
- His decision to leave John Henson on the bench late in the fourth quarter didn’t make much sense. With the Rockets satisfied to just attack the rim and draw fouls the Bucks could have used an extra long man to supplement Giannis’ defensive presence in the paint. Instead, Kidd went with Knight, Middleton, Bayless, Mayo, and Antetokounmpo. That’s four guards and one G/F. They sure could have used Henson’s length on a couple of up-for-grabs offensive rebounds that Houston claimed.
- The Bucks used a double team approach to guarding James Harden that resulted in a lot of Houston threes. While it’s imperative that you limit Harden’s impact, you can’t leave Houston to shoot threes at will. Houston leads the league in three points made with 11.7 per game. In the end the Bucks didn’t even limit Harden who scored 33 points.
