Reactions: The Good

  • Watching the first half you couldn’t help but believe that the Bucks had magically turned over a new leaf. Carter-Williams scored 10 points on 5-7 shooting, with 3 assists and 3 rebounds (awesome!). Giannis got it done on both ends, stymying LeBron while scoring 11 points and grabbing a half-high 7 rebounds. He also continued his trend of attacking in transition, and being a walking mismatch defensively. Middleton, Pachulia, and Ilyasova chipped in solid first halves with 8, 9, and 9 points, respectively, while the Bucks out-assisted the Cavs 14-8, and out-rebounded them 25-17. That’s halfway impressive.
  • Zaza Pachulia continued his strong play, scoring in double-digits for the seventh straight game while completely unraveling Timofey Mozgov’s composure in the first half. By now everyone knows how difficult Zaza is to play against, except Mozgov. During a key first half play Zaza flopped as Mozgov established position. The Cavs’ big man, incredulous to the call, cried wolf and slammed the ball on the free throw line. Zaza the bulldog claims yet another victim.
