Reactions: The Bad

  • If Jimmy Butler keeps playing like this the Bucks have no hope of playing another game in front of the Milwaukee crowd. He scored 23 first half points (8-12 shooting) including this nonsense bank-in three pointer to tie the game at halftime.
  • And blocking Mayo’s weak layup attempt (Giannis should have held the ball).
  • Remember the prevalent chippy play in game two? It returned in game four and to nobody’s surprise Aaron Brooks was in the middle of it. Here is committing a flagrant foul against Bayless.
  • As if he could smell blood Bayless attacked Brooks the next time down-court drawing the foul before hitting the payoff free throws. Brooks wasn’t heard from again save for spot minutes in the second half.
  • This game was won by the bench. They outscored the starters 47-45; but the bench can’t be expected to sustain that level of play throughout game five and possibly six or seven (I know, I know). We need more from Michael Carter-Williams, Ersan Ilyasova, and Zaza Pachulia (coming off the bench? Please?).  MCW needs to finish at the rim. Ilyasova needs to hit his open jumpers. Pachulia needs to just be more. If the Bucks don’t get at least good performances from two of those three in game five then this series won’t be returning to Milwaukee.
