Did O.J. Mayo’s performance do anything to alter the way you view his worth to the team?

AMcG: I have very conflicting feelings about O.J. Mayo. Right now, there aren’t many players that are more important to the Bucks’ chances of winning games, as they don’t have too many other guys who can provide such streaky hot offense out of nowhere. On the other hand, in the long-term I don’t think Mayo could be much worse of a fit with the Bucks. As he’s what they have right now, Milwaukee just has to ride it out, beyond that, they’d be best to move on.

TW: I think so, but I’m known to think more with my heart than my head sometimes. He willed the Bucks to that win, and honestly if his plentiful chucking cost the team a regular season game or two, it’s completely worth winning that one. Orange Juice Mayonnaise for mayor!

JT: Not that much. Via Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin, the Bucks are now 16-4 when Mayo scores 15+ points and 21-8 when he hits more than one 3-pointer. Needless to say, if OJ’s feeling it, it usually leads to victory.

BA: OJ’s always been the guy who can shoot you out of a game or shoot you to victory. Saturday he did the latter, but that doesn’t make me think differently about him in the broader picture.
