89. My draft coverage for BTBP has come full-circle, I guess, because here we are with the subject of my very first prospect report, Jerian Grant.
Grant checks all the boxes for the Bucks. Does he have good size for his position? Check. Can he shoot the ball? Check. (Although he could improve, he’s still better than most current Bucks or other possible picks) Can he move well enough on the court to function in the Bucks’ high energy defense? Yes. Does he have the right attitude to be a complementary player, perhaps even a career bench player? Definitely.

Is it a sexy pick? Not really. Grant doesn’t have a lot of upside and is a few years older than his underclassman counterparts in the draft, but he addresses a need and that makes him a solid pick.

For the record, Christian Wood being picked here still wouldn’t surprise me.
. PG/SG. Notre Dame. Jerian Grant. 17. player
