Creativity

Vasquez is a creator in a way that I’m not sure any other guard on the Bucks currently is. The 28-year-old is capable of doing things a little bit out of the ordinary at times, and it’s no surprise that that would appeal to the Bucks.

For the same reason that coach Jason Kidd and general manager John Hammond probably liked what they saw in Rashad Vaughn’s game, Vasquez can offer the Bucks a player who can help them by getting his own shot, or finding teammates when the offense becomes stagnant.

Carter-Williams is a good point guard, and his ability to rebound and disrupt the opposition defensively are important in the Bucks’ philosophy of play. At times his inability to take over or force things can hurt Milwaukee though.

Adding Vasquez gives a dynamic backcourt option off the bench who will help the team to get points in situations where they previously struggled.
