What Henson Says
With the Bucks finally having some stability with their coaching staff, led by coach Kidd, returning from the previous year (the first time since the 2012-13 season), Henson reflected on how huge that has been for him to improve his game over the Summer at this year’s media day:
"Every Summer, I’ve kind of had to have a period where I didn’t know what the offense was going to be, didn’t know who to work out with, you know, that type of thing. So, it’s been good. Coach Foster came down to Florida, where me and Greg worked out and we’ve just been back and forth in Milwaukee, went to Vegas together, so it’s been a great Summer."
Of course, not only did Henson spend his time working out to improve his game over the Summer, but he finally put pen to paper to the aforementioned contract extension at the end of the first week of training camp too.
The extension had been long rumored over the Summer, but it’s yet another sign of stability for Henson as he’s ready to usher in a new era of Bucks basketball:
"There’s no place I’d rather be right now. We got a team that’s up and coming. I don’t think there’s a better situation, as far as being a young guy in this league, on any team, so for them to want me to be a part of this is a blessing and you know, I can’t wait for the future."
