Milwaukee Bucks: Grades and Reaction to 99-83 Loss To Celtics

5 of 7

Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Bench

Greivis Vasquez, C-

2 Point| 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

He hasn’t got there yet, but this was an improvement. Vasquez made his first field goal, which must have felt good for him following his 0-10 showing against Brooklyn, and there were signs that the Venezuelan will mix things up going forward. He showed some nice post work, although the finishes still weren’t there.

Jeryyd Bayless, B-

12 Points | 3-9 FG | 4-4 FT | 2 REB | 2 AST | 3 STL | 0 BLK |

Another solid showing from Jerryd Bayless, who continues to outperform what many Bucks fans would have expected to see from him this year. His three-point shooting stayed as effective as it had been in recent games making 2-4 from deep. Right now, the Bucks need him to continue playing well.

John Henson, C

2 Points | 1-3 FG | 0-2 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK |

Henson only played nine minutes for the second straight game, although it was a little unusual in this case with the bench struggling so badly. When he was on the floor, he was pretty ineffective though. If it wasn’t for his strong showing in his comeback game, it’d be easier to excuse him for still playing hurt.

Johnny O’Bryant, C-

3 Points | 1-4 FG | 1-2 FT | 4 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

JOB continued to show some strong effort and improved skills. Unfortunately his talent can always match that desire though. He struggled to finish under the rim on two occasions, and that seemed to knock his confidence a little, as he made some strange passes almost to avoid shooting from this point onwards.

Damien Inglis, D+

3 Points | 1-3 FG | 1-2 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Inglis logged significant minutes early on due to Giannis’ foul trouble, and at times it perhaps felt like he was guilty of trying too hard. He blew defensive coverages on two straight possessions, and for as much promise as he shows, he still looks like the rookie he is when he gets on to the floor.

Rashad Vaughn, B-

3 Points | 1-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

The call for more minutes for Rashad Vaughn is not going to ease off based on cameos like this one. Any time he finds himself with the ball in his hands behind the arc, the ball seems to end up flying through the hoop. Limited minutes, but he must be gaining in confidence.

Miles Plumlee, F

0 Points| 0-0 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |

Plumlee got three minutes of action during garbage time and did very little with that time on the floor. Plumlee is likely going to have to get used to these sort of cameos, and will have to work hard to make an impression if he would like a larger role.
