Adam McGee: I’m not sure if following on from the last meeting between the two teams that many Bucks fans would have expected the Wizards to only be at .500 by the time this game rolled around. What has gone wrong in the time since?
Ben Mehic: The team has had some trouble adjusting to the new offense. Turnovers have been a serious issue — the Washington Wizards have been turning the ball over more than any team in the league, including the dreadful Philadelphia 76ers.
On top of that, the defense has taken a step back. Washington has been a top-10 defensive team ever since Randy Wittman became head coach in 2012, but they seem to have forgotten how to defend. Those two issues have caused them to lose games that they probably would’ve won otherwise.
