Jason Kidd, B-

  • It’s tough when you get just twelve points from your bench unit. Tristan Thompson matched that number on his own. Hopefully Mayo’s return will give him more options, especially as the bench has more shooters (Vasquez, Bayless, Mayo) than the starting unit does. It should be interesting to see what he comes up with in future games.
  • He rode MCW, Middleton, Giannis, Parker, and Monroe pretty hard in the third quarter, playing Middleton the entire way and Giannis and Jabari nearly nine minutes each. Why not? He gets his best performances from his starters. It only makes sense to play them harder especially when the bench is giving him so little.
