  • It’d be nice to see Henson get more minutes, and for guys like Tyler Ennis (who wasn’t even dressed tonight) and Rashad Vaughn to at least get garbage time minutes. Up 20 with ten minutes left is a pretty safe spot to throw in the rook–if Detroit was to attempt to mount a comeback, it’s not like Kidd couldn’t just put his starters back in.
  • Despite winning big, which earned Kidd at least a decent grade, his offensive sets looked weak next to Stan Van Gundy’s. An assistant probably draws up both of the teams’ plays, but being the head coach means you take blame for things like that, and Kidd’s team looked boring and stagnant in half-court sets fairly often in this one.
