Milwaukee Bucks Grades, Reactions From 114-90 Loss To Orlando Magic
By Ti Windisch
Milwaukee Bucks Grades: Starters
Michael Carter-Williams, F
3 Points | 1-3 FG | 1-2 FT | 4 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK |
I didn’t think it was possible for Carter-Williams to be any worse against the Magic than he was against the Kings, but boy did he prove me wrong. MCW led both teams with five turnovers, and got absolutely worked by Elfrid Payton on both ends. Payton ended up with 22 points and 10 rebounds on 10/12 shooting. So much for that trademark MCW defense.
Khris Middleton, C
15 Points| 4-7 FG | 4-4 FT | 3 REB | 4 AST | 3 STL | 0 BLK |
Middleton wasn’t bad against Orlando. He was good at what he did, the problem is that he just didn’t do that much. In a game where his team needs a spark, desperately, maybe Middleton should have ended up with more than seven shots. Plus I’m being harsh with grades considering this is the second straight blowout.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, B
17 Points | 7-10 FG | 3-3 FT | 4 REB | 4 AST | 2 STL | 0 BLK |
Giannis was the best Buck that played against the Magic. He shot 70 percent and led the team in points scored. Most days, that probably earns him an A. But seriously, a 24 point loss to the Magic? I doubt Giannis or anybody else on the Bucks feels they deserve much above an F for this game.
Jabari Parker, C
8 Points | 4-9 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |
Jabari is good at everything. Except rebounding. He is kind of awful at that. But he’s getting better at it, and everything else he does. It’s easy to tell that Parker deserved his high draft status–he just looks special out there. He didn’t do much against the Magic, but his effortless explosiveness was probably the best part of the abysmal game.
Greg Monroe, D
9 Points| 3-12 FG | 3-4 FT | 8 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK |
Where does Moose disappear to during some of these games? Monroe barely played 19 minutes against Orlando–why? Why pay him so much money just to sit him? He was pretty bad in the time he did play, but benching Moose is not the way for the Bucks to win this season.
