Reactions: The Bad

  • Unsurprisingly, the defense was not as good as it had looked to be in the previous two games. No corner has been turned just yet, the Bucks had just previously managed to slow down two mediocre offensive efforts. The Spurs are nowhere near firing offensively, as Popovich himself has been telling everybody, yet multiple defensive lapses allowed them ample opportunities to score.
  • All of the talk about Greg Monroe’s defensive efforts may yet turn out to be true. Moose did not give a good account himself against Tim Duncan and Aldridge, on the sort of night where you would have hoped he would have been determined to make a point.
  • If Jerryd Bayless didn’t play for any reason other than giving him a rest, that’s not good for a team who already have a long list of problems.
  • Jabari Parker and Michael Carter-Williams were both pressing a little bit off the bench. After a great performance from each against Denver was this not the perfect opportunity to restore them to the starting five and ease some pressure?
