7. Oscar Robertson Trade

It was April in Milwaukee, and the Bucks were gearing up for another great season led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Milwaukee had made the playoffs in the previous season, but came up short against the New York Knicks in the second round.

Despite having Kareem, the Bucks were missing a piece. Until they made the best trade in franchise history, that is. Milwaukee sent Charlie Paulk and Flynn Robinson over to the
Cincinnati Royals in exchange for Oscar Robertson.

They very next season, the Bucks won it all led by Robertson and Kareem. The season after that, Cincinnati lost the Royals. I wonder why fans would’ve lost interest in the team…
